The Xbox Games Showcase on Monday morning concluded with the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is being promoted as the “most mind-bending Black Ops ever.”
Following the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in 2024, this is the first time Black Ops games have been released consecutively. This one takes place forty years after the events of Black Ops 6, in the year 2025. Players will be controlling David Mason, returning for the first time since Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This time, Milo Ventimiglia will be performing the character.
It has also been confirmed that a co-op campaign will be included, along with a multiplayer mode and a round-based zombie mode.
Matt Cox, General Manager of Call of Duty, said:
“The Black Ops universe is amazing. The creativity and imagination that goes into the storytelling, the rich character depth, and the incredible moment-to-moment gameplay across all modes is really exceptional. As a team, our vision from the start was to create a back-to-back series experience for our players that embraced the uniqueness of the Black Ops sub-franchise.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to release later in 2025
