Dylight Light: The Beast has been delayed by four weeks, with the release date pushed back to September 19 to “allow more time for polishing.“
Before talking about the why and when of the delay to Dylight Light: The Beast, the team at Tehcland first wrote about their positive previews in a press release, saying:
“We’re blushing about quotes like ‘nailbiting survival horror’, ‘absolute blast’, ‘project with a soul’, and being called a ‘standout game of 2025’. It proved the gut feeling that we had already – we’re making a very special, fun game.”
The team wrote aout how the preview coverage has beeen viewed by millions o players, and how the reactiosn have been very posttivie. They then touched on why the game is being delayed, and what the extra month will enable them to do:
“With just four additional weeks, we can address final details that make all the difference between good and great. Areas we want to improve include finetuning the balance of gameplay elements, looking into clarity of UI, increasing the quality of physics, as well as tweaking cutscenes and player animations further, as well as adding the last little details.”
For some players, they’ll get to check out the game sooner, as Dying Light: The Beast will be playable at Gamescom next week, so more players will be getting their hands on it very soon.
