At the Golden Joystick Awards 2022, developer Frogwares was able to share an update on Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened and how the studio itself is doing in Ukraine with the continuing war. 

In the trailer, Sergiy Oganesyan, Head of Publishing at Frogwares, walks through some new gameplay for the upcoming game and explains the setting, themes and “what is this game?” 

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is planned for a release in February or March 2023. “That is if our lives aren’t thrown into more turmoil,” says Sergiy in the trailer at the bottom of this post. 

“The recent weeks have been really tough on the team mentally with all the missile and suicide drone strikes hitting Kyiv. So it was a nice bit of respite to find out our game will be featured in this year’s Golden Joystick Awards. Much thanks to them for giving our team a moment of happiness and pride in this chaos.”
