The first new game from Obsidian Entertainment under the Microsoft Game Studios banner was revealed today at X019.

In Grounded you’ll play through the story of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Or, that’s what I thought of at least as you’ll be shrunk down to size and battling it out against an assortment of creepy crawls.

There’s no word yet if you’ll be able to Ant-Man the situation and teach an ant to let you ride it, but I have high hopes.

It looks like a more charming take on the survival genre though with games like Rust (also announced to be coming to Xbox One next year) looking daunting to jump into from the outset and a focus on PVE, Grounded looks like it’ll be all PVE or PVA – People VS Ants.

The game will be coming to PC Early Access/Xbox Game Preview in early 2020 as the team at Obsidian Entertainment work to tweak and gather feedback on the game.
