The Rainbow Six movie is officially happening, with Michael B. Jordan set to star as the CIA operative John Clark and John Wick director Chad Stahelski set to direct.
Jordan previously portrayed Clark in 2021’s Prime Video Without Remorse, which is also based on a Tom Clancy novel of the same name. That film set up the Rainbow Six film with a post-credits scene.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that Paramount Pictures are producing the film for a cinema release, which was the original plan for Without Remorse before COVID-19 halted cinema release plans. Amazon picked it up for a Prime Video release.
Besides Jack Ryan, John Clark is one of Tom Clancy’s most popular characters. Clark’s most significant book, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6, spawned the massively popular video game series Rainbow 6.
