The Elder Scrolls Online has launched its brand new story content, ‘Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1, as well as the free ‘Update 46’ base game patch on PC. Both of these will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox soon, on June 18.
In Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1, players will be venturing off to the island of Solstice and looking to uncover the plans of the Worm Cult. This is a necromancy guild, and as such, is at opposition to the Mages guild. Naturally, to be viewed as evil within the world of Tamriel.
There will be new World Bosses, Delves, a Public Dungeon, as well as a new Trial for players to complete in Season of the Worm Cult Part 1. There will be plenty of new areas for players to enjoy checking out as well on the tropical island of Solstice, which is an area never seen in any Elder Scrolls game before. In Part One, you’ll be able to explore the western area, with the eastern area coming in the second part later this year.
You can get access to Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 and the future expansions this year as part of the ‘2025 Content Pass‘ or by purchasing the ‘2025 Premium Edition’ of the game.
Update 46 has added a new subclassing system that now allows you to mix and match the skill line in ways that suit your playstyle. You can now replace up to two character skills lines with those from another class. Opening up a lot of new possibilities.
There’s also a new fast-tracking system for returning players with the ‘Hero’s Return’ system. If you complete this adventure, you’ll unlock unique Login Rewards as well as the ‘Hero’s Return Golden Puriose,’ which will fast-track you to a bunch of rescuers.
