Blair Witch is getting a videogame based upon the cinematic lore of the films.

Announced at the Xbox E3 Conference, Blair Witch is a psychological horror game that has you playing as Ellis, a former police officer who, in 1996, goes in search of a missing boy in the Black Hills Forrest near Burkittsville, Maryland.

For fans of the movies, we know Black Hills Forrest is nothing but bad news.

The announcement trailer gives off vibes of the Outlast games with a video camera being drawn up by Ellis to record the strange occurring around him. But the game is being developed by Blooper Team who has previously worked on both Layers of Fear Games and Observer.

Blair Witch will release on Xbox One and Steam on August 30th, 2019. Check out the reveal trailer below.
