‘Falcon Age’ Is A Sci-Fi PSVR Falcon Hunting Adventure On An Alien Planet
by Dylan Blight
Developer Outer Loop has revealed a PSVR game built from the ground up -- Falcon Age. It is very intriguing and with the added support of it being playable in non-VR as well, Falcon Age could be something for everyone to look forward too.
In Falcon Age, you play as Ara in a first-person view on a desolate, desert planet that has had its resources depleted and taken over by machines that have invaded from another planet. Thrown into a jail -- wrongfully accused -- you befriend a Falcon and eventually escape with it. You’ll then spend the game teaming up with rebels to extract revenge on the machines that terrorise the planet.
Falcon Age gameplay seems like it’ll work well with the PS Move controllers and be a fun PSVR experience. It’s certainly a unique premise nonetheless.
The story synopsis from the Falcon Age website is as follows:
The game starts on a dying colony planet with its culture destroyed, resourced depleted, and turned into a desert by machine invaders. Ara’s been wrongfully thrown in jail for a minor infraction. While she awaits her fate in a lonely cell, she passes the time by befriending a young falcon. Together they escape and set off on an adventure to help the resistance reclaim their freedom and drive off the invaders.
Falcon Age is releasing in 2019 for PS4 and PSVR and you can check out the reveal trailer below.
