Travel Around Australia Battling The Paranormal in 'HellSign'
by Dylan Blight
Australian based developer Ballistic Interactive have announced their upcoming debut title HellSign will be coming to Steam Early Access on November 7th.
Create a character and head out into different locations around Australian to solve paranormal cases. Each one offering new challenges to overcome and a new story.
HellSign is inspired by episodic monster-of-the-week shows like Supernatural, which seems to be the core inspiration and wears that with pride.
The press release explains more:
Focusing on a satisfying gameplay loop inspired by years of television paranormal hunting history, step into the shoes of a hunter as you travel around Australia investigating the unknown and taking down all manner of horrifying monsters - it’s just another day in the life, after all. After creating your character and choosing from a series of classes with unique abilities, dive into a non-linear narrative, taking on contract jobs as you make money and learn more about the creatures stalking in the night.
In the Early Access version of the game, you’ll be able to play the first of three chapters and face off against 3 bosses and 13 creatures. It’ll be gameplay feature complete barring any tweaks and improvements made before the full release and give you around 10-12 hours of gameplay, with the full release supposably containing 40+ hours.
It looks pretty interesting and will require a lot of thinking going into cases, gathering clues and making sure to use the correct gear.
