A new Pokémon game was revealed and released overnight during the Pokémon Presents July 2025 showcase. The game is titled Pokémon Friends, and it’s a free-to-play puzzle game on mobile devices, while the Nintendo Switch version costs $15.99.
The game features over 1,200 puzzles, and if you’re playing the mobile version, you’ll be able to complete only a handful a day, unless you want to pay for one of the DLC packs. One of these will allow you to do an unlimited amount of puzzles each day, while each of the packs also adds some new puzzles to the game, as well as plush toys and furniture you can decorate your home within the game with.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game asks you to buy the basic DLC pack to get access to the game, so you’ll be able to do an unlimited number of puzzles each day from the outset with this version.
