[Editor’s Note: Updated on 31-07 to note the Bondi Beach delay]
If you’re in Sydney on Saturday, August 2, you might want to be on the lookout for Sweet Tooth, as a PlayStation/Stan/Sony Pictures team-up to promote the upcoming second season of Twisted Metal will have the clown giving out a variety of prizes, including ice cream.
On Saturday, August 2, from 11 am – 2 pm, Sweet Tooth and his ice cream truck will be parked at North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club (subject to weather if it’s raining). The North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club event has been postponed from August 2 until August 6 between 1-4 PM. The Paddy’s Night Food Markets & Show N Shine auto show at Paddy’s Flemington Undercover Carpark between 6 PM and 9 PM on August 2 is still going ahead. Sweet Tooth will have desserts, and you’ll be able to spin a prize wheel for the chance to win a Sony BRAVIA TV, Sony Wireless Headphones, PlayStation 5 consoles, PlayStation Plus subscriptions and more.
Michelle Chandran, Acting Marketing Director, Stan said:
“Twisted Metal is chaotic, cult, and completely over-the-top, and that kind of unapologetic storytelling is exactly what we love to champion at Stan. By bringing Sweet Tooth to life, we’re tapping into the legacy of one of PlayStation®’s most iconic franchises in a way that feels fun, disruptive, and fan-first. It’s a great example of how we’re continuing to permeate culture with campaigns that feel as bold and entertaining as the stories we’re telling on screen.”
The new season of Twisted Metal premieres July 31, only on Stan, with new episodes weekly.
