Love it or hate it, Winnie the Pooh is in the public domain. This led to 2022’s Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, a film that has fathered a cult following while also producing more than a few naysayers. Get ready for more, however, as THR reports that a sequel is closing in on production.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey made $6 million globally, off the back of its small $100,000 budget, which isn’t an easy job for most slashers. Of course, this turnaround has been seen as a massive success, and a sequel was quickly on the cards.
As reported by THR, Umbrella has picked up the sequel for Australian and New Zealand audiences.
Rhys Frake-Waterfield will return as the writer and director of the unaimed sequel, which is set to begin production later this year.
