Jump Into the PSVR Ring With ‘Creed: Rise to Glory’ Next Month

by Dylan Blight

Jump into the boots of Adonis Creed on September 25th when Creed: Rise to Glory launches on PSVR. Although announced with Vive and Oculus support initially, a release date for those platforms isn’t available at the moment.

Creed: Rise to Glory isn’t to be confused for the many free PSVR experiences that are made available as movie tie-ins — although some of those are quick fun — this is a fully fledged boxing sim with a $37.95 AUD price tag attached. A 10% off bonus is available for PS Plus members who pre-order.

You’re playing as Adonis himself with the story set somewhere between the first and second films, though I don’t believe the story is supposed to be anywhere near canonical to the film. Using PS Move controllers you’ll be ducking and weaving to take on foes that are both recognisable to the franchise as well as unknown new opponents that developer Survios have written into the story.

Rocky himself will be training you behind the scenes and the ability to play as a young Rocky is a PSVR exclusive.

Creed: Rise to Glory will probably be a good cardio workout if anything, or a good way to get excited for Creed 2 which is releasing in November.
