It may have received a rocky reception when its demo dropped several months ago, but Daemon X Machina is looking a lot better in its recent showing at E3.

The game is being directed by Kenichiro Tsukada which leads a lot of mech game fans to hope for the best things from Daemon X Machina, as Tsukada had previously worked on the Armored Core games.

New gameplay that was revealed during Nintendo’s Treehouse Live at E3 showcased fixes to many vocal issues players had from the demo released months ago. Those were namely the overall smoothness of the game, difficulty in seeing enemies on-screen, as well as the boundaries in the levels which were way too tight. In the Treehouse Live, the developer, Marvelous, talked about the feedback they had received and how they’ve looked to fix many of the issues, some simpler than others. With the enemies, for example, they now have an outline around them that shows them clearly as enemies on the screen.

Overall it’s really good to see a developer put out a demo and fix a lot of big issues players had in a positive way.

A competitive multiplayer mode was also announced to be coming sometime post-launch, which was revealed as September 13th for Nintendo Switch during E3 as well.

Yo can watch the full gameplay video below and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for some mech action on the Switch later this year.
