A trip to the cinema this Sunday the 19th of January will help raise money to help those affected by the Australian bushfire crisis.

The Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia, Nation Association of Cinema Operators, Australian Independent Distributors Association and Independent Cinemas Australia have today announced a joint effort to donate $2 from every ticket sold on Sunday the 19th of January to the bushfire relief. Proceeds will be shared between the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal, Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery and the RSPCA Bushfire Appeal.

Most cinemas around the country should be participating with the joint efforts between the four groups, but check with your local before Sunday just to be sure.
