The annual Opening Night Live show, hosted by Geoff Keighley to open Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, usually brings some mid-level announcements, with the big stuff saved from Keighley’s Game Awards Show. This year, it wasn’t any different, with the show kicking off on a teaser for Borderlands 4 and ending with one for a new Mafia game.

Borderlands 4
The film might not be doing well at the box office, but fans of the games can look forward to a new coming in the Borderlands series coming in 2025.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
A long gameplay video of the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 campaign focuses on a mission to save Adler from attempter assignation. It’s a very cinematic gameplay trailer, as you’d expect from Call of Duty, but the standout here is how the new omnidirectional movement system allows dives and slides never seen in the series before.
Goat Simulator Remastered
This is a great trailer. No notes.
Persona 3 Reload
Joker from Persona 5 is somehow coming to Persona 3 Reload in a new expansion, ‘Episode Aigis DLC.’
Dying Light: The Beast
Kyle Crane is back in a new Dying Light game, which sees the protagonist of the original Dylight Light game.
Black Myth: Wukong
The launch trailer for the game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
A new trailer for the upcoming game.
King of Meat
This was an amusing trailer for the dungeon creator/runner.
Lynked: Banner of the Spark
A new game from studio FuzzyBot is a co-op action hack-and-slock, and between the fighting, you’ll be working on some town-building elements to add shops and other things.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage
Here’s a new trailer for the upcoming game from Don’t Nod. It teases a mystery when a package from the past shows up. It looks like the main characters have to think back to 1995 and something that happened then.
No More Room In Hell 2
Here are some more zombies in ONL, this time the 8-player co-op, hardcore gameplay in No Room In Hell 2.
Arc Raiders
There is not much to see here, but there is a new teaser for Arc Raiders.
Infinity Nikki
Sing-a-long in this wonderful new trailer for Infinity Nikki, which features a lot of cute vibes, a catchy song and a complete 180-turn away from the zombies and action.
Warhammer Space Marine 2
This is a short teaser for the game, which is out soon.
Paragon
The third-person MOBA gets a new trailer that shows off the gameplay briefly and teases a story that will play out.
Path of Exile 2
Nothing new revealed, but Path of Exile 2 is releasing in Early Access later this year, and the game contineus to look like great Diablo 4 alternative.
Dune: Awakening
Our most in-depth look at the gameplay of Dune: Awakening showcases the harsh sands of Arakis as well as all the Dune things that fans of the books/movies will be happy to see in the game. You get to create your own character, work with the Harakdens, and, of course, dodge sandworms.
Reanimal
From the studio that made the first two Little Nightmares games comes Reanimal, which looks like Little Nightmares but on acid. There are a lot of creepy animal creatures in this trailer, but it’s the person on the small bicycle chasing the two characters down a hallway that got my ike vibes off.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact will be coming to Xbox on November 20.
Monster Hunter Wilds
A new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, which is hands-on at Gamescom for the first time for the public, got a new trailer showing the towns and, of course, more big monster battles.
Naraka Bladepoint
Lara Croft is coming to the game.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Mai Shiranui is coming to the game.
Mecha Break
Here’s a look at new gameplay for the mech-battles in Mecha Break.
Monument Valley 3
The first two Monument Valley games are some of the best mobile games you can play, so the third one is a welcome announcement. The game will be released exclusively on Netflix in December from Netflix games.
Sid Meier’s Civilisation 7
A new trailer for Civilisation 7 isn’t all; the game will be released on February 11, 2025.
Starfield
The ‘Rev-8’ is now in Starfield, a buggy that’ll help you race around planets.
Marvel Rivals
Two new characters are joining the game, even before it’s released: Captain America and The Winter Soldier. The game will also officially launch on December 6.
Secret Level
Tim Miller took the stage to reveal Blur Studios’ new Anthology series coming to Prime Video. There’s a lot to see in the trailer, but we’ll get episodes of this series of telly stories in the video game worlds of Armored Core, Mega Man, Pac-Man, God of War, SIFU, Warhammer 40k, and more.
Secret Level is coming to Prime Video on December 10.
Age of Mythology Retold
Here’s a new trailer for Age of Mythology Retold.

A new trailer for the upcoming Towerborne.
Delta Force
Here’s a short trailer teaser for Delta Force, which will be available for players to check out at Steam Next Fest in October.

A new trailer for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, with news that a new gameplay trailer is coming tomorrow.
Zenless Zone Zero
We enter the Hoyoverse with this trailer for Zenless Zone Zero.
Honkai Starail
Here’s a new trailer for more in the Hoyoverse. It reveals a Fate Stay Night crossover that will also be coming to the game in 2025.
Batman: Arkham Shadow
The first Batman Arkham Shadow gameplay trailer looks very much like the gameplay of the Arkham games. It’s exclusive to Meta Questg 3, which will be the problem, but it looks pretty good.
Little Nightmares 3
The third game in the Little Nightmares series is coming from Supermassive Games. It still looks like the game series players know, but after the trailer for Reanimal earlier in the show, it definitely looked tamer.
Herdling
A new game from the developer of the Far series has some interesting creatures, and this may be a different type of farming game.
Masters of Albion
Peter Molyneux is back on a video game conference stage to reveal his new game, Master of Albion. This one is a city-builder/god game in which you seem to have control over everything, including what the people in your village eat, wear, and do.
Squid Game Unleashed
This is a multiplayer game inspired by Netflix’s Squid Games series. It is coming to mobile platforms via the Netflix app, of course.
Unknown 9: Awakening
What could be a secret surprise for the year is Unknown 9: Awakening, which continues to look cool every time a new trailer for the game is shown.
Diablo IV: Vessell of Hatred
You can now hire mercenary companies to help you in your adventure. Plus, this new trailer was great to watch, as most Blizzard trailers are.
The First Berserker: Khazan
The art style looks excellent, and the gameplay seems solid third-person action.
Floatopia
This very cute and colourful life-sim is comin’ to Nintendo Switch. All the favourites are from fishing to decorating you’re home.
Indian Jones and The Great Circle
A new trailer narrated by Troy Baker has the actor talking about the honour of playing Indian Jones.
We also got a release date: The game will be released on December 9, 2024, for Xbox and PC, and it was announced that it will be coming to PS5 in 2025.
Mafia: The Old Country
Hanger 13 has revealed that they are working on a new Mafia game, which focuses on Sicily and the Mafia’s origins.
