Xbox may have announced their next-gen console at The Game Awards, but we also got our first official PS5 game announcement at the show in the form of Godfall – the game is also coming to PC.
The game is being called a ‘looter-slasher’, which I kinda hate, but either way, it describes at the third-person-action game with a strong focus on gear. In the trailer, you see a flaming sword and huge armoured characters, so there is defiantly room for lots of loot and armour gear here.

In an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, Keith Lee the CEO of developer Counterplay Games describer the game in better detail.
You will be able to play all three of the heroes you see by acquiring and donning their armor sets, known as Valorplates. Besides these three, you will uncover and equip additional ancient Valorplates lost in time in your journey, each with their own characteristics and historical lineage.
Godfall is designed from the ground up for co-op, and we’ve ensured that you can play with friends with mixed levels, in addition to being able to ‘hot-join’ without needing to queue up and wait.
Although the trailer ends with a ‘Holiday 2020’ release date, Lee in that same interview with PlayStation Lifestyle said:
We’re excited and honored to be selected by Sony to be a PS5 launch title. We plan to be alongside PlayStation every step of the way next year.
In an interesting puzzle piece, Lee also said that we’ll hear more about Godfall next Spring (American Spring), which would lead me to believe that’s when we’ll have the PlayStation 5 reveal event.
The game will also be published on the Epic Games Store for PC players.
