Nintendo has shared more news on the Nintendo Today app and revealed that the N64 games on Nintendo Switch 2 will get some features that Nintendo Switch 1 won’t have access to.

For those playing N64 games on Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll get access to a CRT filter, so you can experience that real nostalgic filter of how the games look on CRT TVs, but the most useful feature will be the ability to rewind games.

This is something I’ve appreciated having on the PS1 Classic games on PlayStation, as it can alleviate some of the frustrations of playing these older games if you choose to use them. Make a wrong move or mess up a level; you don’t need to restart – simply rewind 10-20 seconds. And this is something players on the Nintendo Switch 1 won’t have access to, unfortunately.
