Cutie Sugar Glider Stars In 'Away: The Survival Series'
Away: The Survival Series, although a questionable name, was certainly a big stand out from the May State of Play from PlayStation.
This upcoming game from developer Breaking Walls will put you in the… paws? Of a Sugar Glider who is attempting to survive a series of natural disasters are occurring sometime in the future.
Away looks stunning and with the voice-over, it really sells the vibe of a nature documentary. Snakes and spiders look utterly scary while riding on top of a deer is somewhat endearing. With burning forests surrounding you and battles vs crabs, this game looks like a lot and I’m very intrigued.
Via the PS Blog Laurent Bernier, the Creative Director at Breaking Walls talked about the teams love for wildlife documentaries and how their last three years working on Away has been a massive passion project. The team has also got Mike Raznick to compose the soundtrack who has previously worked on the music for Life and Planet Earth 2 among other projects.
This was easily the most left-field and interesting title shown at the May State of Play and hopefully, we’ll know more about it soon. But let us know what you thought in the comments below.
