We’re always interested in hearing from passionate contributors who want to share informed opinions, original ideas and strong critical perspectives with our audience.
Whether you’re looking to build your portfolio, gain experience reviewing games and entertainment, or simply want somewhere to develop your voice as a writer, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for passionate writers with strong opinions, good communication skills and a genuine interest in the areas they want to cover.
Previous writing experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. We’re more interested in your voice, knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to work with our editorial team.

Working With Explosion Network
We’re always on the lookout for new contributors and are interested in publishing original work created specifically for Explosion Network.
If you’re interested in reviewing games, movies, television, tech, gear or other products, tell us what areas you’re interested in covering and include examples of your previous work where possible.
You don’t need to already be an established writer. If you don’t have published examples, tell us a little about yourself, what you’d like to cover and include a few examples of article ideas you’d be interested in writing.
Contributor Opportunities
Contributors may be offered review opportunities, preview access, interviews, screenings, event accreditation and other media opportunities where appropriate.
Availability varies, and joining Explosion Network does not guarantee access to review products, codes, tickets, events or other media opportunities.

Contributor Roles Are Currently Unpaid
Explosion Network is an independently operated publication, and contributor roles are currently unpaid.
If Explosion Network provides a review code, ticket, product or other item for coverage, we’ll let you know about any conditions attached to it before you accept the assignment.
Physical review products may be kept by the reviewer unless otherwise stated.

Already have an original feature, editorial or interview idea? We’re happy to hear pitches from potential contributors.
Send us a short description of your idea, why you think it’s a good fit for Explosion Network and who you think the target audience is.
Please don’t send us a completed article before we’ve accepted your pitch.
We only publish original work created for Explosion Network and don’t want you spending time writing something before we’ve confirmed that it’s suitable.
Writing Guidelines
Before contributing, please familiarise yourself with the standards we expect from all Explosion Network writers.
Originality
All articles must be written in English and must be your own original work.
We only accept 100% original articles and reviews. Content that has already been published elsewhere, or is intended to be republished elsewhere, will generally not be accepted unless discussed with our editorial team beforehand.
We do not accept plagiarised work. Material copied or closely reproduced from another writer, publication, website or source without appropriate quotation and attribution will be rejected.
AI-Generated Content
All submitted work must represent the contributor’s own writing, opinions and analysis.
Explosion Network does not accept articles generated wholly or substantially using generative AI tools.
AI tools may be used for limited assistance such as spelling or grammar checking, but contributors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality and integrity of everything they submit.
Promotional Content
You may include a personal website, portfolio or social media link in your author profile, but articles must not contain promotional links, advertising, paid placements or undisclosed commercial material.
Businesses interested in advertising, sponsored content or commercial partnerships should visit our
Contact page.
Images & Media
Contributors may provide screenshots or images they have permission to use. Please include the original source and any required attribution.
Do not submit copyrighted images taken from Google Images, another publication or another creator without permission.
For reviews and coverage involving publishers, studios, distributors or PR agencies, Explosion Network can generally source approved press assets where available.
Ethics & Disclosure
All contributors are expected to follow Explosion Network’s editorial ethics and community standards.
When Submitting Work
Once we’ve accepted your pitch or assigned you a piece, submit your work using a Google Doc. This allows our editorial team to leave comments, suggestions and questions directly in the document.
Please include your proposed article or review title at the beginning of the document.
Any images, screenshots, sources or supporting material should either be included in the document or clearly linked alongside the relevant section.
Explosion Network may edit submissions for spelling, grammar, formatting, house style, SEO, clarity and presentation.
If substantial editorial changes are required, we’ll discuss these with you before publication.
Articles will be published when suitable for our editorial schedule. We may not always be able to provide an exact publication date or time.
