This morning Sony not only gave us our first look at the PS5 console, but they also debut trailers and gameplay from major first-party studios and third-parties.
Here’s everything that was announced during the show.
GTA V
GTA V is coming to PS5 in the second half of 2021 and it ”will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the console’s powerful new hardware.” PS5 owners will also be able to grab GTA Online on PS5 for free for the first three months of the game’s launch.
You play as a cat exploring a world of robots. Awesome. I paw off anything meowderful feelin’ings I have for this as it’s going to be a stray until 2021.
It’s a PS5 console exclusive now – here’s gameplay for the “spooooky” game that was announced at Bethesda’s last E3 appearance. The game is coming in 2021.
The leaks were all true, the next Resident Evil game is indeed set in a village and continues the story and characters from the previous game. The village won’t make its way to your lounge until 2021. Don’t forget we already had a RE game this year.
Looking more beautiful than ever the sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn didn’t get a release date just yet, but we can still hope we’re playing this stunner at launch.
It’s dual-tone just like the controller and there are indeed two skews. One has a disc drive, one does not. Sony also revealed a handful of accessories:
PULSE 3D™ wireless headset – offering 3D audio support and dual noise-cancelling microphones;
HD Camera – featuring dual 1080p lenses for gamers to broadcast themselves along with their epic gameplay moments;
Media Remote – a remote control with built-in microphone to navigate movies and streaming services with ease; and
DualSense™ Charging Station – for convenient charging of two DualSense™ Wireless Controllers.
