The development team at No Code has announced that they are changing their name to SCREEN BURN.
The two-person team was founded in Glasgow, Scotland, by Jon McKellan and Omar Khan. They have released games like Stories Untold and Observation, and are currently working on the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall.
Jon McKellan, founder and creative director said the following about the name change:
“We’re not who we were in 2015. We’ve grown and changed. For a start, we have coders now! So, we needed a name that instead reflects what’s always been at the heart of the games themselves: the imperfect feel of old technology and the lasting impact of a story that stays with you long after the credits roll.”
Personally, I think it’s a great change. Previously, Googling ‘No Code’ was a nightmare for SEO when I was writing about either Stories Untold or Observation.
