‘The Dark Pictures’ – An Original Horror Anthology From Supermassive Games

by Dylan Blight

Supermassive Games who developed the fantastic horror game Until Dawn have teamed up with publisher Bandai Namco to bring The Dark Pictures a horror anthology series to PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Each game within the anthology will be a stand-alone experience that will apparently be releasing on a regualr basis. Hopefully, that means a bunch of these horror games coming in 2019.

The first of these is titled Man of Medan and follows the story of four friends who set out for a fun diving trip and find a WWII wreckage, of course, it’s haunted, cursed or any combination of those.

You’ll be able to play as the four friends, or the boats captain as you try to survive the experience where every decision will matter in life-or-death situations. With different character scenarios and decisions, there will be, of course, lots of replayability with multiple endings.

It’ll be interesting to see if The Dark Pictures banner will carry anything more than what it is — a title, a banner. If you can buy into the anthology early for a cheaper price, that would be great, but only time will tell.

Check out the creepy pirate trailer for ‘Man Of Medan’ below and look forward to the scares in 2019.
