New Details and Screenshots for ‘The Quiet Man’
by Dylan Blight
We have some more details for The Quiet Man with gameplay screenshots, in-game letters and new game art. A Quiet Man was revealed at E3 2018 this year during Square Enix’s brief conference video.
The game has received an update description for a start:
Unravelling within a single night, players take the role of deaf protagonist Dane as he fights his way through a “soundless” world to discover the motives behind the kidnapping of a songstress from a mysterious masked man. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.
We have the protagonists name now, Dane. Square Enix has also published a bunch of screenshots on their social media channels and you can check them out their Twitter. They show a beautiful looking CGI world and some combat scenarios, as well as dark rooms where creepy murals are displayed presumably by the villain, the man in the mask.
Two notes were also published that are stamped with a bird insignia, like the mask the villain is seen to be wearing. The notes are in true serial-killer fashion with what looks to be letters cut out from various magazines, or newspapers.
The notes seem to talk about the masked man’s obsession with the songstress and her being trapped by someone, maybe a gangster type character keeping her at a certain club. The second note talks about a silent bird watching her in the cage also, presumably the protagonist, Dane.

Note 1:
‘A caged bird cannot sing. What she believed to be the open sky was the most cramped of cells. A moonlit prison where night shines as bright as day. She realizes there is no escape… then the end comes. The caged bird can sing no more.
I shall set her free, that she might sing again…’
Note 2:
‘The lying black tiger watches over the cage again today.
“Sing, sing” he gently growls, but the frightened bird stays silent. The pitiful tiger bristles with anger, and eyes it hungrily.
But look… A bird who hears no sound strains his ears from the corner of the cage.’
The Quiet Man will be releasing digitally on PS4 and Steam sometime in the future, but a date is currently unknown.
