‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Poster Teases the Upcoming Netflix Series
by Dylan Blight
Showrunner for Netflix’s upcoming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, has posted a teaser poster highlighting Salem and Sabrina via his Twitter account.
The Archie Comics spin-off series will be based on the graphic novel of the same name and aims for a darker tone—very much in line with the more serious, teen-angst-infused vibe of Netflix’s Riverdale.
“Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature—half-witch, half-mortal—while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
If you grew up in the ’90s, your introduction to Sabrina (like mine) was probably through Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996–2003), which starred Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina. That series focused on family and school life and was targeted at a family audience—this new series will not be.
We don’t have a locked-in premiere date yet, but hopefully the “soon” on the poster really means soon.
Check out the poster below:

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood, and Tati Gabrielle as Prudence. Executive producers include Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Lee Toland Krieger, Greg Berlanti, Jon Goldwater, and Sarah Schechter.
