The Game Awards are nearly here, which means it’s officially prediction season.

On this week’s episode of Arcade Couch podcast, Dylan, Ash, and Ciaran each brought six bold predictions for what Geoff Keighley and friends might unveil during gaming’s biggest night. These included things from long-dormant franchises to the all-but-necessary Kojima appearance to wildcards and a few “please just show up again” remakes.

Here are all 18 predictions from Dylan, Ashley and Ciaran — who will come out on top of the predictions battle this year?


Ashley’s Predictions

1. A New PlayStation Studios Game Reveal

PlayStation repeats last year’s big surprise with another unannounced first-party title, coming from Santa Monica Studio, Bend Studio, or Media Molecule.

2. New Trailer for FromSoftware’s “The Duskbloods”

The mysterious FromSoftware Nintendo Switch title resurfaces with a fresh trailer and a 2026 release date.

3. Kojima Reveals More Cast Members for His PlayStation Project

A new update for Kojima’s rumoured PS5 game Physint — not gameplay, just a star-studded cast announcement.

4. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake Announced

Ubisoft officially reveals the long-rumoured AC: Black Flag remake, bringing back one of the franchise’s most beloved entries.

5. Star Wars: Zero Company Trailer + Release Date

A deeper look at the tactical stop-motion Star Wars game, along with a confirmed release date.

6. NetherRealm Announces Injustice 3

NetherRealm returns to the superhero fighting arena with a reveal of Injustice 3.

Ciaran’s Predictions

1. Lies of P Sequel/Spin-Off Featuring Dorothy

NeoWiz announces its next dark fairytale title — teased at the end of Lies of P — this time centred on Dorothy and a twisted take on The Wizard of Oz.

2. Death Stranding 2 PC Port Shadow-Dropped

Kojima appears to drop the PC version of Death Stranding 2 live during the show.

3. Leon Revealed in Resident Evil Requiem

Capcom shows a new Resident Evil Requiem trailer featuring the return of Leon S. Kennedy in the storyline.

4. Max Payne Remake Trailer + 2025 Release Window

Remedy finally unveils gameplay or a cinematic look at the Max Payne 1 remake.

5. Blood of the Dawnwalker Gameplay & Story Trailer

The dark fantasy vampire RPG returns with a proper look at gameplay and a release window.

6. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake Re-Reveal

After years of silence and restarts, Ubisoft brings the Sands of Time Remake back from the void.

Dylan’s Predictions

1. Control 2 Officially Revealed

Remedy announces Control 2 with a teaser trailer.

2. OD Gets a Proper Trailer

Kojima’s experimental Xbox horror project OD returns with a trailer that actually clarifies the game, beyond just Sophia Lillis screaming.

3. Half-Life Returns (In Any Form)

Valve appears at The Game Awards to show something Half-Life related — ideally Half-Life 3, but at least a new spin-off.

4. Respawn Reveals Its Next Game

Either:

  • The third Jedi game, or
  • a new title set in the Titanfall/Apex Legends universe.

5. Early Witcher 4 Trailer That Includes Gameplay

CD Projekt Red shares an early trailer for The Witcher 4, featuring brief gameplay snippets rather than just engine tests.

6. New Wolfenstein Cinematic Teaser

MachineGames drops a cinematic teaser for the next Wolfenstein title — with full gameplay to come later at an Xbox showcase.
