JustWatch has revealed the most-streamed movies and TV shows for June 2025.
What did you watch last month? What was your most-streamed TV series? What movie did you discover for the first time? Let me know in the comments section below.
Movies
1.) The Accountant 2
Between The Accountant 2 finishing first for June, and The Accountant also being in June, it was a big month for this movie series coming back to life. Neither movie has done amazingly at the box office, however, so it appears to be just something people are happy to watch on their Saturday nights at home.
2.) 28 Weeks Later
The second ’28’ film held high in the streaming charts throughout June and finished in second place. Of course, the interesting thing about this is that 28 Weeks Later is the sequel, with 28 Days Later being the first film. However, the first film isn’t on any streaming services due to weird licensing issues. It’s also really hard to find on physical media, as a side, but its reportably getting a reprint soon because of 28 Years Later.
3.) Wicked
Wicked has been available on both Binge and Netflix in the past month, offering numerous opportunities for anyone to watch the film for the first time or re-watch it. In all honesty, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wicked comes back into the top ten during November when Wicked: Part Two releases.
Here’s the complete top ten list of movies from this past month.

- The Accountant 2
- 28 Weeks Later
- Wicked
- Warfare
- Mountainhead
- Deep Cover
- The Accountant
- A Minecraft Movie
- Anora
- Predator: Killer of Killers
TV Shows
1.) Dept. Q
I was surprised by how well the Dept. Q did in June for Netflix, but very happy at the same time as it’ll hopefully lead to more seasons. The series is based on the book series by Jussi Adler-Olsen, with ten books released in the series so far, so there’s plenty of opportunity for future seasons.
2.) MobLand
Another new series that did very well in June was MobLand, which was a huge success for Paramount+. With the stellar cast of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, there was plenty of star power to carry it forward, and the weekly release schedule seemed to keep it near the top of streaming charts for two months in a row.
3.) The Last of Us
The Last of Us: Season 2 wrapped its streaming release on HBO Max in late May, but it continued to sit in the streaming charts throughout June. Perhaps some waited for it to finish before deciding to binge-watch it, but the series has also been met with more negative reactions than the first one, so I’m not sure it’s people choosing to re-watch it as soon as the series wrapped up.
Here’s the complete top ten list of TV series from this past month.

- Dept. Q
- MobLand
- The Last of Us
- And Just Like That…
- The Survivors
- The Rookie
- The Handmaid’s Tale
- Stick
