Digital Extremes has wrapped up another TennoCon, revealing what’s next for both Warframe and Soulframe, including a first look at Warframe: Tau, a new Fortnite collaboration and much more coming to the long-running game.
The headline announcement was Warframe: Tau, the game’s next major narrative chapter, will be released later this year for free on all platforms. In this new chapter, players of Warframe will be leaving the Origin System behind and travelling to the all-new Tau System. And there’s some big talent coming in this chapter, as it’ll introduce ‘Brysko’, a new Sentient Warframe voiced by Matthew Mercer of Critical Role and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth fame.
Here’s all the news and everything that was announced at TennoCon.
Warframe Is Crossing Over With Fortnite
Epic Games and Digital Extremes have partnered up to bring Warframe to Fortnite. If you purchase eligible Warframe content through the Epic Games Store, you will receive the ‘Excalibur Outfit’ in Fortnite; Warframe’s fictional boy band ‘On-lyne’ is joining Fortnite Festival with its debut track Party of Your Lifetime.
More Warframe Content Is On The Way
Alongside Tau, the headline news, Digital Extremes outlined its roadmap for the rest of 2026.
Coming in August is Amir’s Shockwave, a new Nightwave season featuring Warframe: 1999 rewards, while the Iceblade of Narin update arrives later this year. The Mesa Heirloom Collection is also available now.
Soulframe Gets Another Gameplay Reveal
Digital Extremes showed off a new gameplay demo for Soulframe. It showcases the new ‘Warsong Fable,’ the game’s mount system, and fishing, and also features performances by Ben Starr and Jennifer English.
