PlayStation delivered a June State of Play this morning to kick off the Summer Game Fest weekend a little bit early.

With reveals of a new Nioh game, our first look at 007: First Light, and the reveal of a new Marvel fighting game, there was plenty in this State of Play to be excited about.

Here’s everything that PlayStation announced and all the trailers for the June 2025 State of Play.


Lumines Arise

Play

Doing the psychedelic flow-state puzzles that Tetris Effect started, this new entry in the Lumines series builds upon that, offering up puzzles, tunes and interesting visuals. A demo for Lumines Arise is also coming soon.

Pragmata

Play

Here’s a brand new trailer for Capcom’s Pragmata, a game most of us would have either forgotten about or thought it was long dead since its reveal as part of the original PlayStation 5 event.

Romero Is a Deadman

Play

This is a new action game from Grasshopper Manufacture, and it’s launching in 2026. It looks as wild as any other Suda51 game, and that’s a good thing.

Silent Hill f

Play

A new entry in the Silent Hill series takes place in Japan, where you play a high school girl being tormented and tortured as her town is engulfed in the typical Silent Hill fog. This is a very creepy trailer for Silent Hill f, with the game releasing on September 25.

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement

Play

This is the follow-up to Bloodstain: Ritual of the Night, and it’s a new entry in the 2.5 side-scrolling action journey.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger

Play

This new trailer showcases the character and story of Digimon Story: Time Stranger, which will launch on October 3.

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles

Play

The original PlayStation 1 game, which has had fans clamouring for a remake/remaster for some time now, is finally getting that treatment with Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles. This new version adds full-voiced dialogue, UI and more, but you’ll also be able to switch between the classic and new versions. And it’s releasing soon, on September 30.

Baby Steps

Play

Baby Steps is launching on September 8, and here’s a new trailer showcasing the game, which is all about the challenges of walking.

Hirogami

Play

This is an intriguing-looking 3D action platformer where you play as an origami piece that can transform into different animals. The game is releasing on September 3.

Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots

Play

You’ll be able to play as Pac-Man if you pre-order the game when Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots comes to PlayStation 5 on September 5.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

Play

A new side-scrolling entry in the Ninja Gaiden series is releasing on July 31.

Cairn

Play

Cairn is launching on November 5, where players will be able to climb up the mountain along a path of their choice and manage their resources to survive.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection

Play

From developer Digital Eclipse, this collection will bring together seemingly every version of the first four Mortal Kombat games, along with rollback Netcode for online multiplayer. This game will also feature an interactive documentary similar to the one seen in the developer’s other games, such as Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration.

Project Defiant

Play

PlayStation is working on a wireless fighting stick, and it’s named ‘Project Defiant.’

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Play

A new trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater showcases the boss fights in the game, as well as the Ape Escape content.

Nioh 3

Play

The third entry in the Nioh series adds two combat styles: either Samurai or Ninja.

Theif VR: Legacy of Shadow

Play

This PS VR2 game puts you in the shoes of a new Thief character, and in the trailer, it showcases how you’ll have to hide and use your bow and arrow to help get around and through enemies.

Tides of Tomorrow

Play

This is from DigixArt, the team behind Road 96, and it’s looking to do something intriguing with asynchronous multiplayer. You’ll be able to see previous players’ choices and follow them to good or bad moments. Trust or don’t trust; the choice is yours.

Astro Bot

Play

Five new challenge levels are coming to Astro Bot. The Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense is also coming back, this time a ‘smiley version.’

Sea of Remnants

Play

You play as ‘pupperfolk‘ in this sea-faring RPG adventure. It appears to be a lot, but also intriguing.

Sword of the Sea

Play

From the developer of The Pathless and Abzu comes Sword of the Sword, which looks to be combining many elements of Giant Squid’s previous game.

Sword of the Sea will also be joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue lineup when it releases on August 19.

PS Plus

  • Twisted Metal 3 & Twisted Metal 4 are joining the PS Plus Classics Catalogue on July 15
  • Deus Ex is joining the Game Catalogue on June 17
  • FBC: Firebreak is joining the PS Plus Game Catalogue on June 17 when it launches
  • Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil 3 – PlayStation 1 versions are coming to the PS Plus Classic Catalogue later this year.

007: First Light

Play

Our first proper look at 007: First Light ahead of the IOI Showcase in a few days. This cinematic trailer featured a young Bond, before earning his 007 status, on a mission that included plenty of action, gadgets, and cars.

Ghost of Yotei

Play

A State of Play focused on Ghost of Yotei is coming in July.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

Play

A collaboration between PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games has resulted in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. A new tag team fighting game, with a Japanese flourish to the character designs and world. It looks very good and is one fighting game we are sure to be eagerly anticipating a release date for.
