Square Enix has shared details on the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.3: ‘The Promise of Tomorrow.’ This will include a new main scenario, the next addition to the ‘Echoes of Vana’diel’ alliance raid series, a new Deep Dungeon, as well as the first update to the gathering and crafting-focused Cosmic Exploration.

The team have also announced that FINAL FANTASY XIV: Chronicles of Light (Novel), Volume II, the second collection of short stories in the world of Final Fantasy XIV Online, is now available for pre-order. This book will contain thirty stories that were originally published on the official FFXIV Online website. It will now include a new illustration created for this book by Final Fantasy artist Toshiyuki Itahana, and will be housed in a hardcover, foil-stamped book.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: Chronicles of Light (Novel), Volume II is scheduled to release in December 2025, and you can pre-order now through the Square Enix Store, and it’s also available at other book stores. A digital e-book will also be available.

  • New Allied Society Quests – Yok Huy
  • New Treasure Dungeon – Vault Oneiron
  • Duty Support Additions – Support for the Cutter’s Cry will be added
  • PvP Updates – The start of PvP Series 9, existing action adjustments, new ranked tiers and the addition of a new Crystalline Conflict arena: the Bayside Battleground
  • Weapon Enhancements Quests – Phantom Weapons
