Blizzard has announced that Netflix will develop an animated series based on Diablo
Blizzard is bringing Diablo to television, announcing that Netflix is developing an animated series based on the franchise.
Blizzard revealed the project during the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony as part of its plans to expand its franchises beyond video games.
Blizzard has not announced details about the story, characters, creative team, or release window, so it’s unclear whether the series will adapt events from the games or tell an original story within Sanctuary.

Blizzard also said that Diablo is only the beginning of its adaptation plans, with additional projects based on its universes also taking shape.
