Activision Officially Reveals Call of Duty’s Battle Royal Mode ‘Warzone’ – Releasing Tomorrow Morning

After a Youtuber leaked details early about Call of Duty’s upcoming free-to-play battle royale, Activision has today officially revealed the full details.
The key details are as follows:

It’s free for everyone. You don’t need to own Modern Warfare.

Two game modes: Battle Royale and Plunder

Battle Royale has a cloud of gas moving in around the map

Plunder see’s you take part in contracts to get cash. Team with the most cash wins

Map name is Verdansk. Over 300 points of interest

Play in up to trios with cross-play with PS4, PC and Xbox One

Vehicles return with helicopters, ATV, truck, SUV and tactical rovers

When playing Battle Royale mode upon your first death you’ll be taken as a Prisoner of Warzone and fight in a 1v1 for a free respawn

Taking on contracts rewards you with items but also the next circle location

Buy kill-streaks, revive tokens and self-revive kits at Buy Stations across the map in Battle Royale. In Plunder use them to store cash.

Cross-progression with Modern Warfare for skins and other items
The game is going live tomorrow morning with Modern Warfare owners getting early access to the game.
If you own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare there will be an 18-20 GB patch that’ll add a new icon to the games menu that’ lets you boot up Warzone.
All other players will be able to search their respective stores to find the game which will be about 83-101GB to install.
Call of Duty: Warzone goes live in Australia at 6 AM AEDT tomorrow morning, or at 2 AM for Modern Warfare owners. See the above image for other timezones.
