Remedy Games has revealed that Alan Wake 2 will be getting its first DLC, ‘Night Springs’ tomorrow, and pre-orders for physical editions of Alan Wake 2 are coming soon.

Night Springs

In the first expansion for Alan Wake 2, Alan, still trapped in the dark place, begins writing scripts for the TV show “Night Springs,” in an attempt to write his way out of The Dark Place.

Play

Each of the three episodes of this expansion focuses on a different character from the Remedy-verse uniquely. Players will get to take control of the waitress and Alan Wake superfan, Rose Marigold; the actor Shawn Ashmore, playing Sheriff Timothy Breaker; and finally play as Kesse Faden, the protagonist of Control and the director of the Federal Bureau of Control.

Night Springs is part of the Expansion Pass, available to all who own the Digital Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake 2 and the upcoming Physical Deluxe Edition and Physical Limited Collector’s Edition. The pass also includes the second expansion, The Lake House, which is coming later this year. You can also purchase a ‘Deluxe Upgrade’ if you bought the standard edition of the game at launch.

A photo mode is also coming to the game tomorrow as a free update.

Physical Editions

Coming later this year, and available for pre-order starting tomorrow, are the Physical Deluxe Edition and the Physical Limited Collector’s Edition of Alan Wake 2 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

  • Physical Deluxe Edition ($79.99 / €79.99 / £64.99): Includes the base game, Expansion Pass, Alan Wake Remastered (digital), and additional deluxe in-game bonus content.
  • Physical Limited Collector’s Edition ($199.99): Features all the contents of the Deluxe Edition, plus exclusive physical collectibles such as Alan’s Angel Lamp functional replica, Coffee World pin set, Ocean View Hotel keychain and key, and Alan Wake 2 artbook, all in a special Collector’s Edition box with custom-designed artwork. [Pre-order here while it’s available on PS5 or Xbox]

The Physical Deluxe version is set to release in October, while the Limited Collector’s Edition is shipping in December.

Both of these look fantastic, and as someone who votes for Alan Wake 2 as the best game of 2023, I need to somehow get my hands on one of these.
