Guerilla Collective kicked off a big weekend of gaming news and streams early Sunday morning and it was full of trailers, reveals and new information for anticipated games.
Here are all the trailers and reveals from the first day of the show.
System Shock Remake
Another look at the System Shock (Alpha Build) which you can try out for yourself by downloading the demo from either Steam or GOG.
“After two decades, Nightdive Studios is rebooting and re-imagining the original System Shock. We will keep the new game true to the classic experience, keeping all the things you loved while giving today’s gamers the modern look and feel expected from a great game.”

Exo One
I’m always intrigued and locked to the screen when I see Exo One and this latest gameplay trailer is no different. You can play a demo for Exo One on Steam right now.
“A strange signal… an alien craft… an interplanetary, gravity-defying journey through space and time.”

Röki
It’s coming soon – 24th of July soon – and I’m excited for this one. It was also announced that a Switch version is coming sometime soon in the future.
“Röki is an adventure game inspired by Scandinavian folklore – a dark, contemporary fairy tale underpinned by a touching narrative, an alluring art style, ancient puzzles and atmospheric exploration.”

Genesis Noir
We got a developer dive into Genesis Noir, a game about stopping the big bang. It’s stylish and looks to have a jazzy soundtrack. The game is coming soon, but no solid release date was locked in just yet.
“A noir adventure spanning time and space. When a love triangle between cosmic beings becomes a bitter confrontation, you’ll witness a gunshot fired by a jealous god—otherwise known as The Big Bang. Jump into the expanding universe and search for a way to destroy creation and save your love.”

Doors of Insanity
One of the funnier trailers from the stream was Doors of Insanity. Yes, there was a few card-rpg games shown during the show, but this one stood out because of its trailer. You can check out the game in Early Access on Steam as well.
“Embark on an epic ass-kicking, card-slinging journey across purgatory. Create your custom character, build your deck and do battle with the twisted denizens of purgatory and journey to the paradise you deserve. Cast spells, summon allies, and equip a variety of items and equipment as you explore what lies behind the Doors of Madness. No sword is too big, armor too thick, or ally too obnoxious!”
A Jugglers Tale
I’d come across this trailer before, but it still looks like an intriguing puzzle and platformer.
“Lead Abby the string puppet through a bruised, but beautiful world in this poetic 3D adventure. Solve riddles, evade traps, and shake off pursuers on your way to find freedom. Can Abby take control of her own fate and make a difference with all the strings attached?”
Lake
I hadn’t heard of this one before and I’m instantly intrigued. A game all about meeting people and delivering mail? Sign me up.
“It’s 1986 – Meredith Weiss takes a break from her career in the big city to deliver mail in her hometown. How will she experience two weeks in beautiful Providence Oaks, with its iconic lake and quirky community? And what will she do next? It’s up to you.”
Urban Trial Tricky
For all you Urban Trial fans, this one’s coming to Nintendo Switch.
Boyfriend Dungeon
Boyfriend Dungeons continues to be one of my most anticipated games and a developer deep-dive with gameplay during the stream was a welcome addition.
“For your summer job, you’re tasked with clearing the creatures in “the dunj”. Soon you discover weapons you find transform into cuties… and they’re SINGLE! (What a craaazy coincidence because you also happen to be up for grabs yourself.) Spend the cash you earn on romantic outings to forge precious moments with your lovers and work together to clear the rampant monster infestations, because after all, a couple that slays together, stays together.”
Night Call
This released for PC last year but is now coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One next month on July 24th.
“Friend. Confidant. Therapist. Voyeur. As a cab driver working the Paris night shift, you are many things to different people. Your gift is getting people to talk; and in order to catch the serial killer who left you for dead, that’s exactly what you’ll need to do.”
Colt Canyon
You can play this right now! Find it on Steam now and get 10% off at launch.
“Shoot your way through a hostile canyon full of hidden treasures, weapons, obstacles and all kinds of bloodthirsty scum! Colt Canyon is a stylish pixel art shooter with roguelike elements and real-time combat where you save your kidnapped partner from the ruthless bandits.”
Rigid Forever Redux
Also available right now! This one’s on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
“Rigid Force Redux breathes new life into the classic side-scrolling shooter genre with its lovingly hand-crafted 3D models, stunning environments, detailed effects and an electrifying Synthwave soundtrack! Arm your fighter with numerous upgradeable weapon systems and supplemental Force Shards! Collect Energy Orbs to fill up your energy supply and eventually unleash an extremely powerful blast against your foes!”
Out Buddies
Launching on consoles NOW! And also there’s a sale on the Steam page for 40% off at the moment.
“Run, gun and explore an open undercity in this otherworldly non-linear Metroidvania adventure about the Old Gods, strange creatures and the remnants of a lost world!”
Baldurs Gate 3
You’ll (hopefully) be able to play Baulders Gate 3 when it comes to Early Access in August. Larian CEO Swen Vincke explained they’re trying their best, but during this COVID-19 times, they may hit some issues.
Also announced during this developer update was the next gameplay stream. You’ll be able to check that out ahead of D&D Live 2020 on June 18th.
Disco Elysium
It’s now on the Epic Games Store if that’s where you like to play.
West of Dead
The Ron Perlman voiced dead-western is coming to PC and Xbox One on June 18th. Nintendo Switch and PS4 players ill have to wait until August.
Dwarf Fortress
The most interesting dev-dive during the stream came from this Dwarf Fortress upgrade. It’s touted as one of the deepest simulation games ever, and now their adding visuals to the text-sim. It’s kinda insane when you boil it all down.
“The deepest, most intricate simulation of a world that’s ever been created. The legendary Dwarf Fortress is now on Steam. Build a fortress and try to help your dwarves survive, OR adventure as a single hero against a deeply generated world.”
Valheim
I’m cheating with this one. They did show a teaser trailer during the Guerrilla Collective stream but the trailer was shown during the PC Gamer Show just after was much more interesting, so check that out instead.
“A survival & exploration game set in a fantasy world inspired by norse mythology and viking culture.”
Ultrakill
This looks like a super-stylish DOOM but keeping more of the old-school 90’s FPS visual flair.
“ULTRAKILL is a fast-paced ultraviolent retro FPS combining the skill-based style scoring from character action games with unadulterated carnage inspired by the best shooters of the ’90s. Rip apart your foes with varied destructive weapons and shower in their blood to regain your health.”
Dusk
This old school FPS was released on PC back in 2018 but is now coming to Nintendo Switch in time for Halloween.
“Battle through an onslaught of mystical backwater cultists, possessed militants & even darker forces as you attempt to discover just what lurks beneath the Earth in this retro FPS inspired by the ’90s legends.”
11 Bit Studios Segment
Trailers for previously revealed DLC for several of their games, but most importantly the reveal of the Frostpunk Boardgame that is launching its Kickstarter soon.
Fight in Tight Spaces
Do you remember Metal Gear Acid? They’re probably not making another one but it looks like Fight In Tight Spaces is going to fulfil that need.
“A stylish blend of deck-building, turn-based tactics, and thrilling animated fight sequences in classic action-movie settings. Learn to balance your hand, momentum, and positioning to overcome the odds to defeat your adversaries. Build your deck, control the space and live to fight another day.”
Liberated
A brand new trailer for Liberated, a hand-drawn comic book action game that continues to look like a lot of fun. There’s currently a demo available to download via Steam if you’d like to try it out.
“Enter an action-adventure game inside a living, hand-drawn comic book. Uncover an alarmingly current cyberpunk reality where human rights are dying away. Take up arms and solve puzzles in a noir rain-soaked city that’s desperate for justice.”
Gestalt: Steam & Cinder
If a steampunk Mega-Man sounds like your kinda game then check out Gestalt.
“Inspired by 16 and 32-bit classics, Gestalt: Steam & Cinder fuses tight 2D platforming and exhilarating combat with an engrossing, twist-laden narrative in a stunningly handcrafted steampunk world.”
Swim Sanity
A lot of multiplayer fun is to be had with this one. We’ve seen the trailer before, but it’s always good to be reminded.
“Swimsanity! is a multiplayer underwater shooter with action-packed Co-Op and Versus game modes, all supported by online and local play. You play as our hero Mooba, who uses a variety of unique power ups and weapons to survive in this aquatic world.”
No Place For Bravery
A top-down action-adventure with a family centred story.
“Thorn, an old and ambitious warrior, roams a vicious war-torn world in search of his lost daughter. Survive rampant and violent battles in this 2D top-down action RPG, and discover the bone-chilling tale behind Thorn’s odyssey.”
Haven
I hadn’t heard of this one before and although it looks like this trailer is from last year, I’m glad to have finally got my eyes on it.
“They escaped to a lost planet to be together. A RPG adventure about love and freedom. To play solo or co-op with a special someone.”
Metal: Hellinger
This trailer released a couple of days ago but it got the internet buzzing with excitement then and I’m sure for some this was their first time seeing it.
“Metal Hellsinger combines an FPS, a rhythm game, and some face-melting metal riffs into a truly unique gaming experience as you battle your way through hell to a beat. The Metal Hellsinger game even features vocal performances from Matt Heafy, Mikael Stanne, Bjorn Strid, Alissa White-Gluz, and more.”
Gonner2
The first game is still in my pile-of-shame unfortunately but the second one looks just as exciting and colourful – and probably hard.
“In this sequel to Gonner, journey through deep dark chaotic places with unimaginable sparks of color as you go on a mission to help Death rid a mysterious presence from her lair. Battle crazy bosses and lose your head (a lot) in this messy, cute, fast-paced procedurally-generated platformer.”
Just Die Already
Probably going to be the most memed trailer from the stream as it’s a full-on parody of Death Stranding and includes a plee to Hideo Kojima. What’s the game? An old-people sandbox from the people that made Goat Simulator.
“Just Die Already is an old people mayhem sandbox game created by the designers of Goat Simulator. You are old and angry and you’ve just been kicked out of your retirement home. How will you survive in a world that wants you to Just Die Already?”
Let me know your favourite trailers from the show in the comments section. If you’d like to watch the stream in full its below.
