PlayStation’s big 2021 Showcase kicked off with a very long concept trailer where people played chess. But after that, we got into a banger of a show with plenty of announcements and trailers.
Here’s everything that was shown during the show and announced.
The rumoured remake of The Old Republic from Asypyr was officially revealed with a teaser trailer. It only showed Revan and no gameplay, but it’s a confirmation it’s coming to PS5.
A brand new trailer for Forspoken showed the fantasy world and gorgeous visuals. The world looks deep with lore, features some excellent character work and writing. There’s an emphasis on exploration, platforming and intense combat.
Coming to PlayStation for the first time, and as previously revealed a couple of days before the showcase, Remedy is releasing a remaster of Alan Wake.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen it, but a brand new trailer for GhostWire: Tokyo revealed the protagonist, the villain and a better look at the combat.
A Radiohead game? It’s coming this November and is a collaboration with Epic Games. The band recently announced they’re re-releasing the album, so it’s probably a concept thing to tie into that.
Both Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy is being remastered for both PS5 and PC. We have no idea about a release date. Or if PC is getting the trilogy as well.
Our first look at God of War: Ragnarok (now the official name) was a big showcase. More than just a teaser trailer, we see plenty of gameplay, Thor’s hammer, stunning environments and more. However, they gave no release date yet, but God of War: Ragnarok certainly is looking very good.
