Apple has revealed that they have cancelled The Afterparty. The series has been cancelled after just two seasons, with the second seasoning airing just a month ago.

According to DeadlineSony Pictures Television, the studio behind the series, plans to shop The Afterparty on other platforms. So there is hope for fans the show may live on somewhere else.

Although the first season was a critical hit and was heavily talked about on social media, the second season saw a much quieter release. Be that because it airs across from Hulu/Disney’s Only Murders In The Building, which fits a similar genre of comedy/murder, or a lack of promotion for the show because of the writers and actors strike, it seems to have failed to pick-up anywhere near the success of the first season.
