Apple HomeView Announced For Australia With Siri AI

Apple HomeView launches in Australia on November 13, 2026, for $449 AUD

Apple has announced HomeView, a new smart home display that can be mounted on your wall or sit on your home bench, and it will integrate with the broader Apple Home ecosystem.

The device features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and runs on Apple’s A18 chip. The standard HomeView comes in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space grey, while the wall-mounted model comes in silver and space grey.

One of its biggest features is facial recognition, which lets HomeView identify up to six household members and automatically display their personalised Home Screens, widgets, and information.

HomeView also introduces Apple’s new Siri AI experience, offering more natural conversations, broader knowledge and the ability to understand what’s happening on screen.

For entertainment, HomeView supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV and compatible third-party apps. The tabletop model features a built-in speaker system with Spatial Audio, while FaceTime calls support Centre Stage to keep people in frame.

At least at launch, the Apple HomeView doesn’t support video apps like YouTube, Netflix, etc.

Other features include recipe instructions with hands-free timers, Find My integration, shared photo albums and customisable display faces, including an animated Snoopy option which I know my Mum would love.

Both HomeView models are available to pre-order now in Australia ahead of their November 13 launch. The tabletop and wall-mounted versions are priced at $449 AUD each, although the wall-mounted model requires a separate mounting accessory. Schneider Home mounts start at $94.95 AUD, with additional options available.

You can pre-order the HomeView now on Apple’s website.

Are you interested in adding an Apple HomeView to your home, or is $449 too much for a smart home display? Let me know in the comments below.
