Apple has announced the pricing for Apple TV+, its subscription streaming service, along with the pricing and a very interesting new trailer for the Jason Momoa lead series ‘See.‘
Apple TV+ will cost $7.99 Australian a month and you’ll be able to jump on for a one month trial to try it all out. Also, the $7.99 a month gets you access up to six people with Apple Family Sharing.
The service will launch on November 1st with new originals coming to the service every month. You’ll be able to watch online or download to watch offline on your device. The shows will be in 4K HDR and use Dolby Atmos (which is going to be supported by the new iPhone 11’s as well).
If you purchase a new eligible Apple device you’ll get a year of Apple TV+ included.
A new trailer for the Jason Momoa lead series ‘See’ was revealed today as well, and it looks really interesting set in a world where people can’t… see.

See will launch on November 1st alongside the previously revealed ‘The Morning Show’ which stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, ‘For All Mankind’ which is from the creator of Battlefield Galactica, ‘Dickinson’ which stars Hailee Steinfield, the Oprah Winfrey program, the puppet show ‘Helpsters’, a ‘Snoopy in Space’ series, ‘Ghostwriter’ a YA show and ‘The Elephant Queen’ which is a movie.

Not all shows will release in a Netflix model. Apple have stated that most shows will launch with three episodes and then follow with a week-by-week release schedule. Although, Apple have also said this might not be the same for ALL of their shows going forward.
What we don’t know is whether there will be other licensed material included with Apple TV+, but I think at this stage its looking highly unlikely and with the price point so low, it seems your most likely just paying for the growing library of Apple TV+ original programs.
You’ll be able to stream or download via your Apple products, or via new apps launching later in the year on smart TV’s, streaming sticks and boxes.
One final detail that we don’t know yet is whether there will be a bundle for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and any other services like Apple News Plus.
