It looks like you’ll soon be able to stream Apple TV content on your Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Twitter user @Tzunami_Sapp posted an image of their Xbox downloading the Apple TV app, which appears to be showing up for some users as part of the Xbox Insiders beta program.

9to5Mac has also reported that an anonymous source has told them that the Apple TV app will be coming to PlayStation consoles soon. Their source also believes that HomeKit support could be arriving for both consoles, but not at the same time as the launch of the Apple TV app.

If all of the above turns out to be true it would be a great addition to both next-gen consoles. Apple users would be able to stream their 4K content via their consoles without the need of buying the Apple TV 4K box.

A lot of Xbox users, myself included, have been plugging their Apple TV boxes into the HDMI-In the slot of the Xbox One console. That slot is, as far as we’re aware, not an option with the Xbox Series X/S consoles.

If the app is currently being tested as part of the Inside Xbox Program it will most likely be apart of the next major Xbox update that will coincide with the launch of the Xbox Series X/S on November 10th.
