Australian Arcade Footy Game Pro Jank Footy Gets August Release Date

Pro Jank Footy finally has a release date, with the Australian-made arcade footy game confirming it’ll be releasing on August 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

To coincide with the announcement, developer Powerbomb Games has released a new trailer animated by Australian filmmaker Michael Cusack, whose credits include Smiling Friends, Koala Man and YOLO: Crystal Fantasy. Check it out below.

The game has no shortage of Australian talent behind it either. Danger 5 co-creator David Ashby serves as co-creator alongside lead developer Tyler Roach, while Aunty Donna’s Broden Kelly provides commentary throughout the game. Danger 5 co-creator Dario Russo has also written original team songs.

Ahead of launch, Pro Jank Footy has been selected for showcases including Day of the Devs, BitSummit and Playtopia, with playable arcade cabinets also popping up in Melbourne pubs over the last few months.
