Australian developer Jett Williams has announced that the demo for Moonbrella is now available on Steam and Xbox as part of the recent ID@Xbox Indie Selects Demo Fest.

Moonbrella is a physics-based 2D Metroidvania with one major twist: you can’t jump. Instead, you’ll use an upgradeable umbrella to traverse the world, with the game placing a strong emphasis on speedrunning, as there are multiple ways to tackle platforming challenges.

“I’ve watched hundreds of people play the demo at events, and after 18 months of refining, it’s finally ready to ship,” said lead developer Jett Williams. “I’m both nervous and excited for the public to play it.”

Moonbrella is in development for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The demo is available now on Steam and Xbox.
