Let’s look at the Australian Box Office results from Thursday, Jan 11th – 17th, 2024.

I see many complaining about the Mean Girls movie in cinemas being a trick! People show up to see it but do not realise it’s a musical. Or more specifically, based on the musical Broadway play, which was based upon the film, which has now been turned back into a movie. Nonetheless, it’s doing well at the box office. The Beekeeper also opened this week, grabbing a decent $2.71M opening, but nothing can couch Wonkawhich has continued to reach for the chocolate bar stars and did $3.61M this week, adding to its now over $30M box office in Australia.
