JustWatch has released its Q1 2026 streaming market share figures for Australia, showing that while Netflix remains the country’s most popular streaming service, Paramount+ has made the biggest gains over the past year.

Based on more than 4.7 million streaming interactions in Australia between January and March 2026, Netflix finished the quarter with a 20% market share, narrowly ahead of Prime Video at 19%.

Disney+ sits comfortably in third place with 17%, followed by Stan at 10%, while Paramount+ rounds out the top five with 9%. BINGE holds 8% of the market, Apple TV+ accounts for 7%, 7plus accounts for 4%, HBO Max accounts for 1%, and all other services combine for the remaining 5%.

While the top of the market remains relatively unchanged, Paramount+ was the standout change here year-over-year, growing by two percentage points to reach 9% market share. Stan was the only other major platform to post annual growth, increasing by one percentage point to finish Q1 at 10%.

Netflix and Prime Video continue to dominate Australia’s streaming landscape, with the two services accounting for 39% of all streaming interest tracked by JustWatch.

The arrival of HBO Max in Australia is also reflected in the figures, debuting with a 1% share by the end of March.

These results are based on user activity across JustWatch, including clicks on streaming offers, watchlists, and title interactions, providing a snapshot of how Australians engage with streaming services throughout the year.
