Baby Steps finally has a release date, and you can look forward to playing it and falling over a lot on September 8 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
A collaboration between Gabe Cuzillo, Maxi Boch (APE OUT) and Bennett Foddy (QWOP), Baby Steps has made a few appearances at PlayStation events now and has had us all at Explosion Network keen to learn more since its weird reveal. Now it’s exciting to know it’s releasing in just a couple of months.
In a press release, the team celebrated with:
“That’s right, Baby Steps is coming to PC and PlayStation 5 before GTA 6. We did it.”
It’s been a good week for Baby Steps news, as the game now has a demo live on Steam for you to check out. I’ve got some gameplay of the demo below if you’d prefer to check it out that way.
I laughed several times while playing the demo, and weirdly, the frustration of falling over so many times wasn’t making me angry at all. There’s just something so charming about the whole thing, it seemed to brush those feelings away— for now, I guess, I will see how I travel in the full release.
If you dive into the demo yourself, it seems there’s plenty more to uncover that I didn’t discover myself, saving it for the full release.
