Australia’s biggest fighting game event returns for its fifteenth instalment this weekend.
BAM – which stands for Battle Arena Melbourne- is back for its fifteenth event this weekend, and you can look forward to checking out some great eSports action, including events that are World Tour Qualifiers. The major tournaments will feature Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Fatal Fury: City of Wolves, and, of course, a Super Smash Bros. competition.
If you want a break from any of the action, there’s going to be an Artist Alley, Cosplay on show, casual gaming zones, stores to check out and more.
If you’re looking for a break from the eSports action, there’s going to be a Beyblade X championship, with over 100 competitions vying for the Regional Qualifier at this event.
The breakdown of the events is as follows for BAM 15:
- TEKKEN World Tour Master Event with international ladder points and $6,000 prize bonus
- ARC World Tour Gold+ Event for Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy VS Rising, with international ladder points
- SNK World Championship: The Winner of Fatal Fury City of the Wolves qualifies directly for Worlds.
- Esports World Cup Qualifiers – direct qualification to a $1 million USD tournament this year, each, for Street Fighter 6 (1 spot), TEKKEN 8 (4 spots), and Fatal Fury City of the Wolves (2 spots)
- Major tournaments for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, MORTAL KOMBAT 1, and 30 more.
You can buy tickets for the event, which will be held at Moonee Valley Racecourse, now on the BAM website, and you’ll also be able to stream the event on CouchWarriors, CouchWarriorsSmash, and the official Tekken World Tour.
