‘Battlefield V’ Is Delayed Until November
by Dylan Blight
General Manager of DICE, Oskar Gabrielson has today announced via an EA blog post that Battlefield V will be delayed until November 20th, 2018.
In the post, Gabrielson notes the feedback they have received from E3, Gamescom and explains the team wants to make some “meaningful improvements to the core gameplay experience.” Gabrielson mentions the changes the team will be making will be reflected in the Open Beta that starts on September 6th.
Oskar Gabrielson explains:
“We believe we have one of the best Battlefield games ever on our hands. A game that will deliver on an emotional journey through the return of unseen single player War Stories, a deep multiplayer experience, Battle Royale, along with our new live service, Tides of War – a journey across multiple theaters of WW2 and designed to keep our community together.”
With Battlefield games in the last few years having a lot of issues upon release it’s surely a good thing that the team is making the right choices to deliver a great product. By happenstance, they are also dodging Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 a week prior to their original October release and Red Dead Redemption a week after.
