There’s A LOT going on with Unknown 9: Awakening. The game was just announced during Opening Night Live but it’s more than just a game, it’s an entire universe.
The cinematic trailer shows a young girl, Kolkata, escaping pursuing and the realization of her own mysterious powers. It’s interesting enough but what becomes even more intriguing is the world at large. The Unkown 9 universe is already in play and I’m sure most of us weren’t even aware.
If you head to https://unknown9.com/ there’s a game, Unknown 9: Awakening, which the website states is “your entry point into a new story world.” But then there’s also Unkown 9: Out of Sight, a scripted podcast which currently has three episodes available. Unknown 9: Genesis, the first of a trilogy of novels. You can download the first part of the novel for free via the website. And finally, Unknown 9: Torment a comic book series which has issue 1 available online for free.
If that’s not enough, how about an online game web-based game that’s about “shaping the future” of the Unknown universe. That’s called Unkown 9: Chapters.
I’m going to delve a little deeper down this hole and see what I can find. Where to start is the bigger question. Maybe the novel?
