Bethesda Game Studios has shared details on what’s next for Starfield and confirmed that the sci-fi RPG will continue to receive major updates, even in its third year. There’s still content being planned for Starfield in 2027.
Coming into 2027 and Year 3, it will bring additional stories to the ‘Settled Systems,’ as well as adding “targeted gameplay improvements” alongside the normal ongoing updates.

Bethesda also shared details on Starfield’s success, noting that more than 17 million players have collectively logged 1 billion hours since the game launched in 2023.
Another success story has been the ‘Creations’ platform, which has revealed that more than 40% of players have customised their game using community-created content. And Bethesda have also shared that creators have earned more than $10 million USD in royalties since the platform launched.
