It doesn’t feel like a Christmas movie when the trailer starts with someone getting dumped, but that’s how Christmas with the Campbells begins, a new film coming to AMC+ on December 2.
Brittany Snow stars as Jesse, who gets dumped right before Christmas by Shawn. But it’s not her parents who call her home for the holidays, it’s her ex’s parents. And given he’s not going to be there, she says, “why not?” It’s there she meets Shawn’s cousin, played by Justin Long, and sparks begin to fly.
Check out the trailer for Christmas with the Campbells below.
“The traditional holiday romance movie, from the writer of You Light Up My Christmas and the director of The Christmas Bow, gets a little more fun this year with a spin from co-writers Vince Vaughn (Couples Retreat) and Dan Lagana (“American Vandal”). In Christmas with the Campbells, when Jesse gets dumped right before the holidays by her boyfriend Shawn, his parents convince her to still spend Christmas with them, and Shawn’s handsome cousin, while Shawn is away.”
Clare Niederpruem directs a script from Barbara Kymlicka, Dan Lagana and Vince Vaughn.
