Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and it is set to release on October 23.

The action-packed reveal trailer showcases plenty of action as you’d expect, including heli-diving into a city under siege, as well as plenty of espionage and secrets.

The game seems to be setting up a conflict between the U.S. and North Korea, with the action taking place across the globe.

Check out the trailer below.

In some platform news, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC as you’d expect, but it’s also launching on Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day. The previous generation of consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, have also been dropped from this release, making it the first Call of Duty release to focus solely on the current generation of hardware.

Plenty of outlets (not us, sorry) have some hands-on coverage of the multiplayer components, which sound like they’re building on the movement system introduced in the previous game and adding some interesting systems, including ‘Apex Attachments’ as final-weapon unlocks. You can read Press Starts here, for example and more on all of that.
